Pokemon GO Upgrade Items and Components
A specific item can be used to evolve certain Pokemon. The upgrade can be obtained by spinning a photo disc, and is often offered as a reward during Pokemon GO events.
Upgrades can be applied to armors, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools to increase the level of their item. The upgrade costs Flightstones and crests, depending on the kind of item.
Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be inserted into trinkets, weapons, armors and other tools for gathering in order to add attribute bonuses or other effects when the equipment is being used. They offer fewer bonuses than the other types of upgrade components. Most upgrade components can be replaced when they are slotted into an item, however doing so will destroy the previous upgrade. The only exceptions are glyphs, that can only be placed into gathering tools, and enchantments. Both can be removed and replaced.

Glyphs
